Steps to Take After Acceptance to a UK University

Conditional offer

A conditional offer means that the university is willing to accept you if certain criteria are met. The conditions usually revolve around your upcoming A-Level result.

If you have not provided all the required documents then you will get conditional offer. Mainly if you are applying for a postgraduate study while in the final year of your undergraduate you can get a conditional offer letter shows that you need to get at least 70% in your last semester to secure your rank in the university. Some other conditions are-

Unconditional offer

An unconditional offer would mean that you have met the requirements and are accepted into the university without having to meet specific conditions.

In most cases, after you have received an unconditional offer or have met the requirements of the conditional offer, you are invited by the university for a tour/visit.

After the UK University admission, it is recommended to prospective students to go for the tour so that they learn more about the university and their degree. Websites and prospectuses are not as in-depth as a visit to the university itself.


Apply through UCAS:

The UCAS website is simple to use and will walk you through the application process. You'll need to fill out your personal information, as well as the UCAS codes for your course and universities that you acquired before, and your personal statement.

UCAS currently charges £13 for applying to a single university for a single course and £24 for applying to multiple universities or courses.

If you are accepted, you will receive your CAS letter form (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies), which is a virtual document with a unique reference number that the university that accepted you will provide to you.

Keep this CAS letter somewhere safe because you'll need it to apply for a student visa. It means that you are already one step closer for a UK university admission. It will also contain all of the vital information you require, such as course specifics, start dates, tuition costs, and your formal confirmation of a university seat.


IHS payment:

As an international student you have to pay for receive your free healthcare services during of your studies you must pay a £150 IHS fee. You can pay this fee through online.

Keep your payment receipt safe, because you will need it to apply for your visa.


Apply for visa:

If you are studying for a full-time degree in the UK, you will need a Tier 4 (General) Student Visa, or a Student Visitor Visa if you are only studying for six months or less.

Keep an eye on your dates because the application must be submitted no less than three months before the start of your course and no more than six months after you received your CAS form.

A Tier 4 visa will cost £310, and a six-month Student Visitor visa will cost £83.

Check with your visa application center to see if you can get your visa sooner depending on which country you are in.

 

Visa interview:

After completing the online application form and submitting your vital documents for UK university admission, you must pay the visa fee, which allows them to schedule an interview with the UK embassy. The final stage of the application process is the visa interview.
